Hello Jeff Muse:
I would like your permission to reprint your dramatic photo of Desolation Peak Lookout with pink sky in the background. This would appear in a book I’m preparing for publication entitled ‘The Ultimate, Illustrated Beats Chronology’ (forthcoming from Softskull Press, Berkeley, CA). I will give full attribution.
Bob Niemi, Ph.D.
Hi, Bob,
Thanks for your request. Your book project sounds great!
Please contact me via my e-mail address: hoosiermuse@gmail.com. From there, I’ll provide you with information for Todd Burley, the photographer who took that image. You’ll need to ask him for permission, though I suspect he’ll be glad to support you as he has supported me over the years. He has many photos from his seasons in the North Cascades, including his own stint as a fire lookout.
Talk to you soon,
Jeff
